These Valentines mailboxes are a huge hit in our house! We have used them for two years now and my girls just love them. We get them out in the weeks before Valentine's Day and use them to share love notes and little treats with one another. The kids get so excited when they see their flag up because they know someone has been thinking about them. We've even had great-grandmas and aunts from out of state send things for mommy to put in the kids' Valentine boxes.
I bought the mailboxes from Target's dollar section, then we wrapped the body of the mailbox in patterned Valentine paper. The fun part for the kids was creating a paper doll likeness for each family member.
This is one of those projects where you can get really elaborate in decorating these boxes, or just keep it really simple.We chose simple! :)
